KeMU once again is blessed by the Lord.
KeMU has won the "Maktaba Award 2012 (Kenya Library of Year Award)". This award was granted to the university on Friday 21st September, 2012 in Nairobi. There were 75 libraries that participated this year, with KeMU taking top honours followed by Kenyatta University.
This is a very proud moment for us all and we applaud Mrs. Kamau, and the former Librarian Mrs. Kaberia who have led the team, and the University, in acquiring and investing in information services, or send them an email of congratulation. This award is very prestigious for a university as the library is the bastion of information and a key tool in the education of students.
So, if you happen to come across, any member of the library staff, please shake their hand and congratulate them on their efforts, and also say a quick prayer of thanks for the team and God's blessing.
The following are the areas of assessment in the competition.
