Following very competitive elections carried out last Wednesday, the new KeMUSO (Nyeri Chapter) officials who would guide our campus student body through 2013/14 were voted into office.
The elections were preceded by a week of the most vibrant campaigning ever seen on campus (yet), with candidates devoting plenty of time, effort and resources to ensure that they clinched the posts available.
In total, 6 candidates vied for the 3 slots of Chairperson, Secretary and Sports/Entertainment Director that are availed for each of KeMU’s Campuses by the KeMUSO Constitution and in the end, 3 candidates emerged tops.
Mr. Davis Gatheru is the new Sports/Entertainment Director; Ms. Rose Wanjiru is the new Secretary General; while Mr. Bronson Munjuga is the new KeMUSO Chairman.
And today, as is KeMU tradition, the new team was sworn-in by the Campus Chaplain during the week’s morning service, with the students and members of staff present as witnesses.

Let us support the new team, and wish them God’s blessings and guidance as they seek to carry the name of the University higher, as well as represent the prayers and aspirations of Nyeri Campus.
