Biography

Lillian Muiruri is a competent student-centered Health Systems Management Assistant Lecturer with over nine (9) years of experience in teaching, training, research and publishing.

Her areas of specialization are: Health Information Systems Design, planning, Implementation, monitoring and Evaluation, Data Management and analytics in health, Information security and ethics, and internet use in health. 

Teaching and Research Interests: Health Management Information Systems, Information Resources Management in Health, Health Systems Management, Adolescents and Youth health systems, Monitoring and Evaluation in health, Data quality, Culture and Society (Anthropology), Research Methods.

Skilled in student management and career guidance with emphasis on nurturing disciplined, transformative leaders with respect of persons, talented professionals with the right attitude, patience and personality to foster health systems strengthening and innovations in the healthcare sector. Seeking to leverage my technical and professional expertise to grow in the role of an Educator and a Mentor in Health Systems Strengthening in Organizations, Institutions and society at large.

 A result-oriented, integral and keen to details professional with exemplary experience in students’ data management and academic portfolio using the ERP system. A team player with good communication, writing and editing skills, leadership, technical and time management skills. Lillian has worked in various organizations including public service as a lecturer, employee, volunteer, counsellor and mentor.

Lillian is involved in community service activities in different organizations and institutions in a bid to foster healthy living, child welfare and adolescents and youths wellbeing in society.
