Biography

Mr. David Murithi Kaje is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Kenya Methodist University (KeMU). Beyond teaching, his responsibilities within the department include proposal coordination, research project coordination, attachment coordination, course advisory, and student mentorship.

He is also one of the mentors of the Innovators Club at KeMU Main Campus, a close-knit community that nurtures students’ innovation in emerging technologies within computer science. The club also emphasizes giving back to society through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives such as feeding and clothing street children and volunteering in institutions that serve people with special needs and the elderly.

Under his mentorship, the Innovators Club has recorded notable achievements. In June 2022, the club won a trophy at the Meru ASK Show with their Artificial Intelligence-based project, “An Automated SmartFarm.” More recently, in 2024, students under his guidance emerged second runners-up at the Africa Public Service Day National Celebrations held at the Kenya School of Government, with their innovation “Ultrasonic Smart Glasses with Knee Bracelet for the Visually Impaired.”
