Titus Mutwiri is a committed and dedicated professional with over 10 years’ experience leveraging skills in molecular epidemiology of parasitic diseases (Cystic Echinococcosis), medical microbiology, project Management, institutional relations, and people management. Titus Mutwiri is an assistant lecturer at Kenya Methodist University, Department of medical laboratory sciences. He holds a BSc. in microbiology (KeMU) and a MSc. in medical microbiology (JKUAT). A doctoral student in JKUAT and a former graduate fellow at ILRI. His interests in research span across zoonotic diseases in a one health approach. His latest research is on molecular epidemiology of Cystic echinococcosis (Hydatid disease) in western Kenya among humans, livestock, and dogs with key focus on the infection levels, and economic loses across the host species. He has great interest in mentorship and is the vice chair of management at Kamilimu, a structured mentorship programme for student in Tech with reach to over 25 universities in Kenya. Titus is a Toastmasters, passionate in communication and leadership and has sponsored two chartered toastmasters clubs in Kenya. He is a leader in sports as the President Baseball Federation of Kenya and a commissioner in the Sports and Sustainability commission with the National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOCK) as well as Founding Director of Maasailand Baseball academy
