This evening, the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Kobia Ataya, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mr. Wilson Matumbi , Chief Executive Office Buji Drones Company, to pioneer transformative drone technology initiatives within the university.
The MoU sets the stage for the establishment of a Drone Training Centre, Drone Clubs, Drone Technology Labs, and Vertiports (drone takeoff and landing ports) at KeMU. These initiatives will open new frontiers for research, innovation and practical learning in the fields of drone piloting, irrigation, surveillance and transport.

This partnership will roll out in the next four months through the Students’ Research and Innovation Centre, offering students and staff hands-on experience with drone applications in real-world scenarios.
